Each Referee Management Site can be configured to support a variety of processing options for handling the User's Password. The specific combination of Options that is in effect will determine the relative "strength" of the Password associated with the Site.
Specification of the Password Options is done via Administrator: Options-Settings by creating or editing an entry with the following name:
- PasswordAlphabetic
- Indicates the minimum number of letters that must be specified in a Password. Passwords without the required number of letters will be rejected.
- PasswordInterval
- Establishes the length of time that a Password will be considered valid. At the end of the PasswordInterval, the Password must be changed. The PasswordInterval may be any valid Time Specification (e.g. "30 days", "2 months", etc.). Set PasswordInterval to a null value (unspecified) to disable the password expiration mechanism.
When active, PasswordInterval will also maintain a copy of the recently set passwords and prohibit the User from re-using the same password again.
- PasswordMinimum
- Indicates the minimum number of characters (letters+numbers) that must be specified in a Password. Passwords without the required number of characters will be rejected.
- PasswordNoName
- Establishes whether the password can contain the User's first name or last name. A value of 0 (zero) disables this verification and a value of 1 (one) activates this prohibition.
- PasswordNumeric
- Indicates the minimum number of numeric digits that must be specified in a Password. Passwords without the required number of digits will be rejected.
- PasswordQuestionDups
- Defines the number of responses on Services: Questions that may contain the same value.
- PasswordQuestions
- Establishes which defined Questions will be presented on Services: Questions for the Visitor to respond to (setting the future values applicable for Logon: Reset Password)
- PasswordWarning
- If PasswordInterval is specified, the PasswordWarning specifies the number of days prior to Password expiration that the User will be informed about the upcoming password expiration.
